Educational and Cognitive Assessments for Children and Adolescents
We offer comprehensive educational and cognitive assessments in Perth to help identify learning difficulties, evaluate intellectual strengths, and support personalised education plans. These assessments are ideal for children and teens experiencing academic challenges, struggling with attention or processing, or needing clarification around school readiness, giftedness, or potential learning disorders.
Learning Difficulties Assessments
Learning assessments investigate areas such as reading, writing, maths, working memory, processing speed, and phonological skills. These can support diagnoses such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or general learning disorders. They are commonly used to inform school support plans, access accommodations, or provide recommendations to allied health professionals.

- Standardised cognitive testing (e.g. WISC-V)
- Academic achievement testing (e.g. WIAT-III or similar)
- Assessment of memory, processing speed, phonological processing

Cognitive Assessments
Cognitive assessments focus on intellectual functioning and help identify an individual's cognitive strengths and challenges. They may be used for:

- Clarifying strengths and difficulties in thinking and reasoning
- Supporting referrals to speech pathologists, OTs, or educational specialists

What to Expect
Assessments are completed over 2–3 sessions, depending on your child’s needs. We provide a welcoming, neuroaffirming space to help children feel at ease during testing. Reports are written clearly for families and schools and include strategies that are realistic, individualised, and strength-based.
Location: In-person assessments are conducted at our Wembley clinic. We also offer consultation and feedback via Telehealth if needed.
